Charitable Wine Donations Guidelines & Request Form

Jackson Family Wines (JFW) wants to work with you and your nonprofit group to build a better community. We are proud to collaborate with the community through not only our business endeavors, but also through wine donations to support worthwhile charitable activities where we live and work. If you are interested in receiving a wine donation for your nonprofit, please review the donation guidelines and fill out the Donation Request Form below to be considered.

Thank you for giving Jackson Family Wines the opportunity to consider support for your organization with a wine donation. Due to an increase of in-person fundraisers and events, we are currently experiencing a very high volume of requests. Please know that we are working hard to respond to all inquiries, however we do apologize in advance if we are unable to do so within the timeframe associated to your event.


  • JFW can only consider wine donations to nonprofit organizations with formal 501(c)3 status. You will be required to provide a copy of your IRS designation letter if the donation is approved.
  • Given our location and various alcohol regulations, we will only consider requests from organizations and events based in or taking place in California or Oregon.
  • Our company is particularly interested in events that support basic human needs, education programs, the environment, and healthy communities. In addition, preference is given for events and nonprofits based in communities where our employees reside in California (including Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Sonoma Counties) and Oregon (including Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington and Yamhill Counties).
  • Due to the large number of requests JFW receives, generally we can only consider one donation inside a calendar year to eligible organizations, and repeat donations cannot be guaranteed.
  • Request needs to be at least 60 days in advance of event.
  • Duplicate requests or requests submitted outside the below form / this online process will not be considered.
  • We review donation requests on a monthly basis – please allow sufficient time for your request to be evaluated, and consider the time it may take to secure the required alcohol license for your event, where applicable. Once approved a wine donation will normally take two weeks for delivery.
  • Submitting a donation request does not guarantee a donation.
  • Due to legal restrictions imposed by federal and state laws: ALL California “fundraiser” events require a non-profit, day-use, alcohol permit to be obtained by the non-profit in order to receive any type of wine donation. This includes wine to be poured, wine tasting certificates and/or auction items, even if they are to be unopened at the event. Additionally, Jackson Family Wines cannot donate wine for fundraisers to restaurants, golf courses or other establishments which own their own permanent liquor license, unless the establishment "surrenders" its license for the area sanctioned for the event - allowing the nonprofit to obtain the mandatory day-use alcohol permit in their own name. No exceptions. CA non-profits that do not plan to obtain their own permit cannot be considered. Oregon law slightly varies, but proof of an OLCC license in place is still required.
